Milník, Stone milestone near Líšnice, Czech Republic
The milestone is a tall sandstone structure with a prismatic shape and beveled upper edges standing on the road between Líšnice and Loštice. The stone displays a distinctive form that is typical of directional markers from this era and region.
The stone dates from the 18th century and marked distances on the postal route between Olomouc and Prague. That road used the Austrian postal mile as its measurement system at that time.

The inscriptions '4 1/2 meil von Olmitz' and '3/8 meil von Lotchitz' are still visibly carved into the surface today. These texts show that the stone has preserved original information that travelers once needed.
