Church of Saint Anthony of Padua in Míškovice, Catholic church in Míškovice, Czech Republic

The Church of Saint Anthony of Padua is a single-nave, oriented building with an elliptical presbytery and a flat-ceilinged nave decorated with square coffers. Its facade is dominated by a slender, asymmetrically placed four-sided tower topped with a sheet-metal spire and a large Latin cross of exposed brickwork, contrasting with the white walls of the nave and presbytery.

The church was built in 1927–1928 after the local-born priest František Jančík made the establishment of a parish in Míškovice conditional on constructing a church. The design came from František Lydie Gahura, court architect of the Baťa company in Zlín, and Ing. Metoděj Matuška of Bystřice pod Hostýnem led the works. Olomouc archbishop Leopold Prečan consecrated it on 29 June 1928; it has been a protected cultural monument since 1958.

The church was to be dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius, but after relics of Saint Anthony of Padua were obtained the patron was changed; a painting of the original patrons hangs on the right side altar. The church is a filial church of the Mysločice parish, and the former parish house in Míškovice now serves as a kindergarten.

The church stands in the centre of Míškovice, in Kroměříž District of the Zlín Region, and is the village's main landmark. It is a filial church of the Mysločovice parish, so services are not held daily. The former parish house in Míškovice, where three priests served in the first half of the 20th century, now houses a kindergarten.

The church is the first realised sacred building by František Lydie Gahura, known as the court architect of the Baťa company in Zlín; together with the chapel in Kudlov it is his only church work. It was originally to be dedicated to Saints Cyril and Methodius, but after relics of Saint Anthony of Padua were obtained the patron was changed, and the image of the intended patrons hangs on the right side altar.
