The Church of Saint Cunigunde stands on a gentle slope at a crossroads in the centre of Stanětice. It has a rectangular nave with a western porch, a narrower presbytery with a three-sided end, and a massive square tower with a red-painted Baroque onion dome between nave and presbytery. The tower connects to the interior only through the sacristy; a roofed external staircase leads to the gallery at the northwest corner.

The church was built around the middle of the 14th century in the High Gothic style, and its tower followed somewhat later; the tower was repaired in the second half of the 15th century. Baroque alterations came in the second half of the 17th century and again in 1787, most visibly in the tower's top storey and roof and in the construction of the gallery. Later additions were made on the west side and to the sacristy.

Stanětice was the seat of a parish administering the surrounding villages until the 16th century, which explains the church's position at the crossing of paths in the village centre. The dedication to Saint Cunigunde, wife of Emperor Henry II, is recalled in the church's name. A remnant of the wall that once linked the church to the former village school is still visible.

The church stands on a gentle slope at the crossroads in the centre of Stanětice, in the Úhlava valley near Domažlice in western Bohemia. Since the former village school was demolished in 2012, the building can be reached from all sides; a remnant of the connecting wall is still visible to the north. The tower is entered only through the sacristy, and an external staircase at the northwest corner leads up to the gallery.

The building bears the official catalogue number 1000153547 in the Czech Monument Register, a system that catalogues heritage sites across the country. This registration ensures the protection and recognition of structures with cultural value.
