Kostel svatého Vojtěcha Na Balkáně

The building originally served as a gymnasium for the Orel Catholic sports organization before World War II and was converted into a chapel during the 1940s. This transformation gave the local Catholic community a place to worship after the war.

The church holds regular weekday services, with special morning masses on Wednesdays at 6:30 AM followed by community breakfast gatherings. These gatherings make it easy to experience both worship and the social life of the parish.

The congregation purchased the land beneath the church through community fundraising and completed all payments in December 2021. This achievement shows how neighbors worked together to secure a permanent home for their worship.
