Church of Saints Wenceslaus, Baroque church in Hlušice, Czech Republic

The Church of Saints Wenceslaus and Barbara is a Baroque single-nave church in the park of Hlušice Castle. It has a narrower presbytery flanked by two annexes, flat ceilings inside, and no tower—only a small bell turret above the presbytery. A wooden open bell tower stands nearby.

A chapel dedicated to Saint Barbara was built in 1748–1749 within the grounds of the Hlušice estate. In 1903–1904 it was enlarged into a church, its dedication extended to Saints Wenceslaus and Barbara, and Hlušice became a separate parish. That parish lost its resident priest in the second half of the 20th century, was administratively dissolved in 2008 and attached to the parish of Nový Bydžov.

The church is dedicated to Saints Wenceslaus and Barbara; the Barbara dedication comes from the 1748–1749 chapel, and Wenceslaus was added in 1903–1904 when the chapel became a parish church. Mass is held twice a month, and a wooden open bell tower stands near the church because the building has no tower.
