Přírodní park Povodí Kačáku, Nature park in Prague-West and Kladno districts, Czech Republic.
Povodí Kačáku is a nature park located across Prague-West, Kladno, and Beroun districts, characterized by deep valleys and forested hillsides. The landscape is shaped by the Kačák River and its tributaries, which flow through steep terrain creating natural corridors through the woodland.
The park was established in 1988 to protect the river valley and surrounding forests from the region. A significant expansion in 2010 integrated former military land from the Studánka area into the protected boundaries.
The Kačák Valley downstream from Mostecký Mill contains numerous camping settlements, including Batalion, which was established in 1928.
A network of marked hiking trails runs through the park, making exploration of the valleys and forests straightforward. The red-marked trail 0029 follows the Kačák stream and serves as a main route for visitors wanting to experience the river gorge.
The park sits on diverse geology featuring slate, basalt, and quartzite rocks that create visual interest in the landscape. Elevation changes of up to 150 meters throughout the area give the terrain a dramatic relief that shapes how trails wind through the valleys.
