Gayerova kasárna, Military building in Hradec Králové, Czech Republic
The neo-Renaissance complex spans across streets Československé armády, Opletalova, Šimkova, and Divišova, featuring two large barracks buildings with decorative facades.
Constructed between 1887 and 1889 by architects František Černý and Josef Falta, the barracks replaced an earlier Austrian bastion fort from 1776.
The Museum of Eastern Bohemia occupies part of the building since 1992, preserving regional heritage through exhibitions and research facilities.
The building remains open Monday through Thursday, with specific morning and afternoon hours for public access to administrative services.
Archaeological excavations at the site revealed structural elements of the original 18th-century fortification system beneath the current buildings.
