Železná rozhledna, Former observation tower site in Potštát, Czech Republic

Železná rozhledna is a vanished observation tower near the Boňkov settlement in the Potštát rock town, at 524 m above sea level in the Oderské vrchy. Only a roofless stone wall with a doorway remains of its foundations. The original steel lattice structure, built in 1929 by Count Zikmund Desfours-Walderode, carried a steel ladder to a circular gallery 28 m above the ground and was demolished in 1972.

Count Zikmund Desfours-Walderode built the private steel lattice tower in 1929 on a 524 m summit near the Boňkov settlement. An steel ladder led to a circular gallery 28 m above the ground. Because of its dilapidated state the lattice structure was demolished and removed in 1972; only a roofless stone wall with a door remains.

The lookout was built as a private project by Count Zikmund Desfours-Walderode in 1929 and named after his family, Walderode. Only the stone base with a doorway remains; the steel lattice and its 28-metre ladder were dismantled in 1972.

Only the stone base wall with a doorway survives; the steel structure was removed in 1972, so there is no platform to climb. The site is reached on foot along a marked trail from Puchart castle to the "Pod Kyžlířovem" signpost near Potštát, or by forest paths in the area.

The steel lattice was demolished in 1972 because of its hazardous condition, leaving only a roofless stone wall with a doorway on the 524 m summit. Before that, a steel ladder led to a circular gallery 28 m above the ground, and the view reached the peaks of the Western Tatras in present-day Slovakia.
