Partutovický vodopád

The Partutovický waterfall forms two separate drops along Mraznice Creek as it flows through rolling countryside. The water cascades in quick succession and creates a small pool where the stream continues toward larger waterways downstream.

The waterfall came into being through natural erosion of carboniferous rock layers that underlie the Oder Mountains region. Over centuries, flowing water carved these softer and harder stone bands into the stepped formation seen today.

The waterfall sits near a stone wayside shrine that marks the connection between nature and local tradition. Such modest religious landmarks shape how people experience the landscape and reflect centuries of local worship practices.

The waterfall is easy to spot from the main pathway connecting the two nearby villages, making it simple to find. Wear sturdy shoes since the ground near the stream can be damp and slippery in places.

The small stream feeding this waterfall eventually joins larger waterways that flow toward major river systems. Few visitors realize they are standing at a point where water begins a long journey across multiple landscapes.
