Vodárenská věž Děvín, Television tower and water tower in Radlice district, Prague, Czech Republic.
The Devin Water Tower consists of three steel tubes connected in a triangular formation, covered with blue and yellow metal sheets and glass walls.
The tower, completed in 1977, emerged during Prague's modernization period and stands on the site of medieval Divci Hrady fortifications.
Architect Karel Hubacek incorporated modernist principles into the tower's design, reflecting the technical and architectural innovations of the 1970s Czech Republic.
The tower functions as a water pressure regulator with pumps processing 600 liters per second, while also housing telecommunications equipment for Prague's infrastructure.
The structure contains pendulums at its summit to counterbalance lateral oscillations caused by strong winds at its elevated position.
