Chapel of Saint Agnes of Bohemia, Religious chapel in Hněvkovice na levém břehu Vltavy, Czech Republic.

The Chapel of Saint Agnes of Bohemia sits on a small peninsula beside a pond in this village. Its distinctive steel structure rests on micropiles that anchor it firmly to the ground.

This chapel was built between June 2008 and November 2009 with substantial help from volunteers in the surrounding area. The project brought together many people from the region who contributed their time and effort.

Masses are held irregularly, on holidays and anniversaries, not on a regular schedule. The chapel also hosts civil and religious weddings, baptisms and lectures, and serves residents of the nearby Domov sv. Anežky. A wooden sculpture of Saint Agnes, carved in 1988 by a brother of the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star, stands inside.

The chapel stands on a small peninsula in the pond by Čihovice, reached by a footbridge set on micropiles. Masses are held irregularly, mainly on feast days and anniversaries, so check locally before travelling. The adjoining meditation garden is tended by the Zámecké zahradnictví sheltered workshop of the Pomoc Týn nad Vltavou association.

The altar is carved from aspen wood donated by the parish of Neratov and weighs 350 kg; its maker was the amateur carver František Kobera. The ambo, from the same wood, weighs 120 kg. A wooden statue of Saint Agnes in the chapel dates from 1988 and was made by a brother of the Knights of the Cross with the Red Star.
