Chapel of Saint Agnes of Bohemia

The Chapel of Saint Agnes of Bohemia sits on a small peninsula beside a pond in this village. Its distinctive steel structure rests on micropiles that anchor it firmly to the ground.

This chapel was built between June 2008 and November 2009 with substantial help from volunteers in the surrounding area. The project brought together many people from the region who contributed their time and effort.

The chapel hosts regular religious services, weddings, baptisms, and celebrations during special occasions and anniversaries throughout the year.

This building serves as part of a social services facility offering rehabilitation programs and therapy workshops for people with disabilities. Visitors should know that the site functions as an active workspace where access may depend on the programs happening at that time.

The building deliberately mimics the shape of Noah's Ark through a creative design by the architectural studio Kobera. This unusual form gives the structure a visually striking quality that captures immediate attention.
