Pasecký vodopád, Waterfall in Paseka, Czech Republic
Pasecký vodopád is a waterfall near Paseka that drops across three rock steps formed from slate and siltstone. The water tumbles down these natural ledges, shaped over time by the flowing stream.
The site was managed from the 18th century, when stone walls were built at the base to control erosion. These early works show that people recognized the power of the waterfall and worked to protect the land around it.
The water feature holds a central place in regional narratives, with numerous tales passed down through generations in the Moravian region.
The waterfall sits directly beside the road to Pasecký Žleb, making it easy to reach on foot from Paseka. Visitors can walk from the village or drive to the area and explore the site.
The complete system of cascades extends across 24 meters in length, with a total elevation difference reaching up to 9 meters.
