Rozhledna Čestice, Observation tower and transmitter station in Čestice, Czech Republic

The observation tower in Čestice is a 40-meter steel structure that combines telecommunications equipment with a public viewing platform. The platform sits about 7 meters above ground and is reached by climbing 35 steps.

The steel viewing gallery was added to a 40-metre mobile operator mast on an unnamed hill southwest of Čestice and opened to the public at the end of 1999. The tower itself had been built for the operator; the gallery, reached by a 35-step spiral staircase, turned it into a lookout.

The name Čestice refers to the village below; the lookout was added to a mobile operator's transmitter in 1999. From the 7-metre gallery, the view is mainly of Čestice and its immediate surroundings, and westward to the lookout on Javorník. On the wooded hill opposite stands the Kalvárie, a calvary site dating from 1728.

The tower is easy to reach by following the road next to the church in Čestice, which leads to a field path with parking available. The climb to the platform is relatively short and just requires proper footwear.

The view is limited to the south and west: the surrounding hills rise above the 7-metre platform, so only Čestice and the Javorník tower are visible. On the wooded hill opposite stands a Calvary, built in 1728.
