Rozhledna Čestice, Observation tower and transmitter station in Čestice, Czech Republic
The 40-meter steel structure combines a telecommunications tower with a viewing platform located 7 meters above ground, accessible via 35 steps.
The tower, constructed in December 1999, represents a collaborative project between telecommunications infrastructure and public recreational facilities in South Bohemia.
The tower provides views of local landmarks including Mařský vrch, the northern part of Šumava, and the traditional village landscape of Čestice.
Visitors can reach the tower by following the road next to the church in Čestice, which leads to a field path with parking facilities.
The structure operates as both a functional transmitter station and an observation point, offering a half-circle panorama of the surrounding countryside.
