Dalimilova rozhledna

Dalimilova rozhledna is an observation tower in Staré Město consisting of two connected stone structures that visitors can climb to reach viewing platforms at different heights. The tower features a granite spiral staircase and a Gothic-style vaulted entrance hall, creating distinctive architectural details as you move through the interior.

This tower was built between 2019 and 2021 and recreates a former structure called the Kaiser-Wilhelm-Turm that stood on Králický Sněžník mountain from 1899 until 1973. The recreation honors the memory of this earlier landmark and restores a familiar silhouette to the mountain landscape.

The tower serves as a memorial to Czech heritage, featuring architectural elements such as Gothic vaulted entrance hall and granite spiral staircase.

The tower is reachable via marked hiking trails starting from Staré Město, with parking available at Velké Vrbno about 1.5 kilometers away. The climb involves ascending many steps, so visitors should be in reasonable physical condition to reach the upper viewing platforms.

The structure contains around 170 steps leading to observation decks where visitors can see the surrounding mountain ranges stretching across the horizon. What makes this site noteworthy is that it was designed specifically to restore a missing landmark to the mountain landscape, bringing back a familiar sight that locals remembered.
