Church of Saint Anne, Piarist church in Benešov, Czech Republic

The Church of Saint Anne is a Baroque Roman Catholic filial church on Masaryk Square in Benešov, designed by Giovanni Battista Alliprandi and built between 1705 and 1710. It is connected to a Piarist college, whose side entrance displays the coat-of-arms alliance of František Karel Přehořovský and his second wife, Juliana Dorota Jörgerová.

The church was built as part of the Piarist College system, which shaped education and religious life in the region. Its creation and development show the strong role these educators played in local Czech history.

Above the side entrance to the adjoining Piarist college, visitors can spot a Baroque coat-of-arms alliance of František Karel Přehořovský and his second wife Juliana Dorota, née Countess Jörger von Tollet. The founder did not live to finish the complex, completed under the Vrtba family.
