The figure shows Hendrix wearing the outfit from the Monterey Pop Festival, with a patterned shirt and flared pants. Fans from around the world stop here to pay their respects to the Seattle-born guitarist.
The sculpture is outdoors on a busy street corner and is free to visit at any time of day or night. Since it sits on public ground, there are no restrictions on access.
Local residents regularly decorate the statue with ties, scarves, and seasonal ornaments, so it changes its look throughout the year. This spontaneous habit has turned the figure into something the surrounding community actively shapes over time.
