Royal Neighbors of America National Home Historic District, Historic district in Davenport, United States.

The Royal Neighbors of America National Home was a Georgian Revival complex on a bluff above the Mississippi River in west Davenport. Its 1931 main building, designed by Clausen, Kruse & Klein, had a columned porch and a living room with floor-to-ceiling windows. The main building was demolished in January 2018; the historic district retains the pump house, curved driveway, 1963 entrance markers and 1957 circular memorial fountain.

Royal Neighbors of America, founded in 1895 as the first fraternal benefit society insuring women, resolved in 1929 to build a home for members in need and bought 40 acres along Rockingham Road in February 1930. The Davenport firm Clausen, Kruse & Klein designed it in Georgian Revival style; 500 people attended the dedication on July 18, 1931. Renamed Grandview Terrace in 1993, the home closed on October 1, 2004, and the main building was demolished in January 2018.

The name Grandview Terrace, adopted in 1993, replaced Royal Neighbors National Home. The circular memorial fountain (1957) and the two entrance markers (1963) survive as contributing objects; the markers reuse stone elements from the 1931 originals. The landscaped grounds and curved driveway are themselves listed features of the district.

The main building was demolished in January 2018, so there is no house to tour; what remains on the bluff above the Mississippi are the landscaped grounds, the curved driveway, the 1963 entrance markers and the 1957 circular memorial fountain. The property was put up for sale after demolition, so check access before setting out.

The 1957 circular memorial fountain and the 1963 entrance markers are contributing objects in the district; the markers replaced the 1931 originals but reused their stone elements and original design. The main 1931 building was demolished in January 2018, so the landscaped grounds, curved driveway and pump house carry the site's history today.
