The Confederate Soldiers Monument, also called Defense of the Flag, stands on the east side of the Arkansas State Capitol grounds in Little Rock, just off 4th Street. It is a five-tiered marble structure topped by a bronze angel standing on a sphere, with a bronze Confederate Army soldier on the front of its fourth tier.

The monument was erected in 1904–05, funded by the state and other sources, mainly through the efforts of a consortium of Confederate memorial groups. It was first placed near the main eastern entrance of the Arkansas State Capitol and later moved to the northeast lawn. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

The monument is also called Defense of the Flag, a name drawn from the bronze soldier gripping the flag on its fourth tier. It was funded by the state and by a consortium of Confederate memorial groups, and it was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1996.

The monument stands on the east side of the Arkansas State Capitol grounds, just off 4th Street, on the northeast lawn where it was later moved. Visitors reach it on foot from the capitol's eastern approach; the grounds are open public space. Look for the five-tiered marble base with the bronze angel on a sphere at the top.
