Mark L. and Harriet E. Monteith House, Historic house in Elkhart, Indiana.

The Mark L. and Harriet E. Monteith House features a T-shaped frame structure with a steeply pitched roof and exterior brick with half-timbering details.

Built around 1908 and remodeled in the 1930s, this residence earned its place on the National Register of Historic Places in December 1985.

The house represents the architectural evolution of residential buildings in early 20th century America, particularly through its Tudor Revival transformation.

Located at 871 E. Beardsley Avenue in Elkhart County, the property covered less than one acre of land before its demolition.

The structure incorporated a distinctive two-story porch design, which set it apart from other Tudor Revival homes of the period.
