The Poland Springs Historic District features a golf course, several buildings, and natural springs spread across a landscaped environment in South Poland.
Originally established in 1794, the resort gained prominence in the mid-19th century when visitors sought the supposed healing properties of its spring waters.
The Maine State Building, relocated from the 1893 Chicago World's Fair, now functions as a museum showcasing the district's extensive heritage.
The Executive Inn, constructed in 1963, provides accommodation options while the All Souls Chapel hosts religious services, concerts, and wedding ceremonies.
The 1907 bottling plant includes a square tower with Tuscan columns and a pyramidal roof, marking the start of Poland Spring's water distribution business.
