Malgium

Malgium is an ancient city situated at the intersection of the territories of Larsa, Babylon, and Elam, covering an extensive excavation area. Digs have uncovered pottery sherds, inscribed bricks, and other artifacts from different periods that reveal how people lived here long ago.

The city flourished during the Middle Bronze Age until military forces destroyed its defensive walls during campaigns centuries ago. This turning point brought an end to the settlement's independent existence.

The site was a center of religious life with temples dedicated to multiple deities that shaped the community's spiritual practices. Walking through the excavated areas, visitors can sense how deeply faith was woven into daily existence here.
