Sultan Abdul Samad Jamek Mosque, Historic mosque in Kuala Lumpur
Jamek Mosque is one of the oldest mosques in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
It was built in 1909 and officially opened by the Sultan of Selangor on 23 December 1909.
The mosque's design is a blend of Moorish, Indo-Saracenic and Mughal architectural styles.
The mosque is located at the confluence of the Klang and Gombak River and may be accessed via the Masjid Jamek LRT Station.
Its location marks the birthplace of Kuala Lumpur.
