Fujairah Fort

Fujairah Fort is a 16th-century fortification built on elevated terrain with four distinctive towers serving as the main defensive structure. The complex combines round and square towers that work together to defend the surrounding area.

Construction happened over several centuries as different rulers added to and modified the structure. The fort was built and rebuilt in stages, reflecting the shifting powers that controlled the region.

Morning and late afternoon visits work best since the midday heat can be intense on the exposed grounds. Wear sturdy shoes as you will walk over uneven stone surfaces and rocky terrain.
