Motiongate, Hollywood movie theme park in Dubai Parks and Resorts, United Arab Emirates
Motiongate is a film-based theme park featuring attractions based on movies and characters from DreamWorks Animation, Sony Pictures, Columbia Pictures, and Lionsgate. The rides and experiences are spread across five separate themed zones, each one bringing a different film universe to life.
The park opened in October 2016 as part of the larger Dubai Parks and Resorts development. This launch represented the creation of the Middle East's largest movie-themed park at the time.
The park recreates the feeling of being inside a real film studio through recreated New York streets in Studio Central. You can observe how the entertainment industry works and what goes into making the films and shows you watch.
The park opens daily from 11:00 AM, with extended hours on weekends. You can purchase tickets online in advance, which makes entry smoother and helps you avoid longer lines at the gate.
One of the standout rides is Now You See Me: High Roller, which spins at extraordinary speed. The park also features four indoor themed areas dedicated to DreamWorks animations, providing air-conditioned relief during hot days.
