Legoland Dubai, Theme park at Dubai Parks and Resorts, UAE

Legoland Dubai is a theme park in Dubai Parks and Resorts with six themed lands: Factory, Lego City, Imagination, Kingdoms, Adventure and Miniland. It has over 40 rides, shows and building activities, and its Miniland holds 15,000 miniature models made from more than 20 million Lego bricks. The white gateway sign carries the Legoland Dubai name, a yellow sunburst and a red LEGO panel.

Legoland Dubai was first planned for a 2011 opening in Dubailand under the name Legoland Dubailand, but the project was delayed. It finally opened on 31 October 2016 at Dubai Parks and Resorts, becoming the first Legoland in the Middle East and the seventh worldwide.

Miniland at Legoland Dubai is indoors, unlike the outdoor Minilands of most other Legoland parks. Its centrepiece is a 17-metre replica of the Burj Khalifa built from 439,000 Lego bricks with LED lighting, which held the record for the tallest Lego structure when the park opened. Other models include the Taj Mahal, made from 280,741 bricks, the Burj Al Arab and the Sheikh Zayed Mosque.

Legoland Dubai sits within Dubai Parks and Resorts, and the six themed lands radiate from a central paved plaza. The Miniland section is indoors, offering a cooler stop during hot days. The park is designed for families with children aged 12 and under, so many rides have height restrictions; check these at each entrance before queuing.

The Lego Factory allows visitors to watch how Lego bricks are manufactured and create their own custom pieces. This behind-the-scenes experience demonstrates the production process for the building blocks used throughout the park.
