The Fototeka Marubi building houses 150,000 glass plates and photographic films documenting the life and people of Albania from the 19th century onwards.
Pietro Marubi established the first photography studio in Albania during 1856, initiating a legacy that continued through three generations until Geg Marubi in 1984.
The museum exhibits portray Albanian society through photographs of independence movement figures, local traditions, and regional customs from multiple generations.
