Air Albania Stadium, Multi-purpose stadium in central Tirana, Albania
Air Albania Stadium is a multi-purpose venue in central Tirana with a capacity of 22,500 seats and an eight-sided rectangular layout. A hotel tower rises directly from the structure, forming a single architectural unit with the playing field and surrounding stands.
The venue opened in November 2019, replacing the former Qemal Stafa Stadium that had served as Albania's main sports facility for over 60 years. The new construction created a modern center for large events on the site of the old national ground.
Stands carry names of important figures from Albanian football, connecting the building to the country's sporting past. This naming turns the venue into a place where memory of former players and coaches stays alive, making visitors part of that tradition from every seat.
The complex houses a Marriott Hotel along with several restaurants and shops that remain open outside event days. Facilities for people with limited mobility are present throughout the site and help access to all areas.
The TUMO Center for creative technology operates inside the building and offers educational programs for young people from the area. This space joins sport and digital creativity under one roof, making the venue more than just a playing ground.
