Mall Plaza La Serena

Mall Plaza La Serena is a shopping center with two department stores, Falabella and Paris, plus around 70 retail shops and nine restaurants spread across multiple levels. The building includes underground parking, seven movie theaters with roughly 1500 total seats, and maintains extended hours most days of the week.

The shopping center opened its doors in December 1998 as the fifth location in the Mall Plaza chain across Chile. Its arrival marked an important moment in how the region's retail landscape developed.

The public library inside opened in 2004 and remains a gathering space where visitors study or spend time with family while shopping. It shows how this commercial hub serves the wider community beyond retail.

The center is easy to navigate and has ample parking available, making a visit straightforward. The range of dining options and cinemas offers multiple activities for spending a full day there.

The H&M store installed solar panels and became the first retail location of its kind in Chile to do so. This sustainable choice makes it a notable example of environmental responsibility in South American retail.
