Písac, Inca ruins in Peru
Písac is a Peruvian village in the Sacred Valley of the Incas.
The Inca constructed agricultural terraces on the steep hillside, which are still in use today.
Písac is known for its lively handicrafts market in the main square.
A road winds from the square past agricultural terraces up to Písac Archaeological Park.
It's believed that Písac defended the southern entrance to the Sacred Valley.
