Nevado Pastoruri

Nevado Pastoruri is a mountain summit in the Cordillera Blanca, located in the southern section of Huascarán National Park at 5,240 meters elevation. The peak displays steep terrain with permanent snowfields and a glacier that characterizes its upper reaches.

Indigenous peoples of the Andes established settlements near the peak and developed agricultural methods adapted to the extreme conditions of high altitude. These early cultures utilized the mountain's resources over many centuries.
