Luya Province

Luya Province extends across 3,237 square kilometers in southern Amazonas, bordered by the Marañon River to the west and Utcubamba River to the east.

The province received its official establishment through legislative action on February 5, 1861, marking its administrative independence within the Amazonas Department of Peru.
