Plaza de toros Real de San Carlos

The Plaza de Toros Real de San Carlos is a Neo-Mudéjar structure with a central arena surrounded by tiered stands for spectators. The complex contains multiple spaces designed to host different types of events and gatherings.

Built in 1909, the building operated as a bullring until the government banned bullfighting in 1912, ending that era of use. The site then adapted to serve other purposes over the decades that followed.

Today the venue hosts craft markets, musical performances, and fashion events that draw people from across the region. Visitors come to experience local artisans and enjoy gatherings that connect communities together.

The site is located outside the town center and can be reached by car or a short ride. Visitors should allow time to explore the different areas of the complex and check what events might be happening during their visit.

The original complex was much larger and included sporting facilities like a court for jai alai and a racecourse alongside the arena. These additional structures have vanished over time, but traces of their existence remind visitors of the site's varied past.
