Parque de la Independencia

Parque de la Independencia is an urban park in Rosario covering about 1.26 square kilometers with an artificial lake, gardens, pathways, and recreational areas throughout. The grounds feature boat rentals, multiple leisure zones, and continuous walking routes that connect different sections of the park.

The Racecourse was founded on December 8, 1901, and was among Argentina's first venues to host night racing events. This facility became a significant location in the region's sports history.

The French Garden displays traditional European landscape design through marble fountains and carefully arranged flower beds that follow classical principles. Visitors can observe this organized approach to garden spaces and how the grounds reflect formal design ideas from the continent.

The park has numerous walking paths, seating areas, and food vendors with different sections for various outdoor activities. Visitors should bring water and sun protection and explore the paths earlier in the day when crowds are lighter.

In the Calendar section, gardeners rearrange flower beds daily to display the current date, a tradition dating back to 1946. This daily transformation makes the location special because visitors can see vegetation working as a living clock.
