Não-Me-Toque

Não-Me-Toque is an agricultural municipality in Rio Grande do Sul featuring rolling hills and farmland across its territory. The subtropical climate supports diverse crop production that sustains the local economy throughout the year.

Portuguese settlers first established farms here in the early 1800s, establishing the region's agricultural foundation. German immigrants arrived in the late 19th century, and Dutch families followed in 1949 to build their communities.

The municipality was temporarily renamed Campo Real from 1971 to 1977 but locals voted to restore the original name. This change shows how strongly residents value their original identity and heritage.
