Bombinhas is a coastal municipality in Santa Catarina featuring multiple beaches, clear waters, and marine habitats along southern Brazil's coast. The area spans a compact territory with several bays and islands dotting the shoreline.
The municipality became independent in 1992 when it separated from Porto Belo to become its own administrative area. This division made it one of Santa Catarina's smallest territorial divisions.
