Vila Guilherme Park

Vila Guilherme Park is a large public green space in a densely built residential area with walking paths, sports courts, and cycling routes throughout. The grounds also feature outdoor exercise equipment and different zones designed for various activities.

The park developed from the grounds of an equestrian club established in the 1930s that served the wealthy segments of society for decades. The site later transformed into a public space to serve the broader neighborhood.

The space serves as a meeting point where neighbors gather for group activities like dance classes, martial arts training, and fitness sessions throughout the year. These regular gatherings shape how the community uses and relates to the area.

The grounds can be accessed from two different sides, making it easy to find an entrance regardless of location. The paths are well-built and different areas are easily reachable.

A special section of the grounds includes a trail designed so people with visual impairments can experience nature through touch, smell, and sound. This area demonstrates how parks can welcome everyone.
