Colégio Marista Arquidiocesano occupies a building begun in 1929 at Rua Domingos de Morais in Vila Mariana, opened on 25 January 1935 after the school left Tiradentes Avenue in Luz. A complex completed by 2000 added a language centre and an aquatic centre to the campus.
Founded in 1858, the school was run by the Marists from 1908. It occupied a site on Avenida Tiradentes in the Luz district until 1935, when it moved to a building begun in 1929 in Vila Mariana. It became coeducational in 1972, admitting female students for the first time.
