Jesuits' Bridge, Colonial viaduct and archaeological site in Itaguaí, Brazil.

The stone bridge stretches 50 meters in length and 6 meters in width, featuring five water passages with wooden gates for water flow control.

Constructed in 1752, this bridge formed part of an agricultural hydraulic system connecting the Santa Cruz Farm to São Cristóvão during Brazil's colonial period.

The structure displays traditional Portuguese colonial engineering methods with Roman-influenced architectural elements and bears Latin inscriptions with the Jesuit coat of arms.

Located on Estrada do Curtume, the bridge underwent restoration in 2022, reinforcing its structure while maintaining its original design features.

The bridge represents Brazil's first hydraulic engineering project, incorporating a system of gates to regulate water flow between the Guandu and Itaguaí rivers.
