Parque Guinle, Public park in Laranjeiras, Brazil.

Parque Guinle is a green space in Laranjeiras with a lake, pathways, and open lawns arranged within a valley that resembles an amphitheater. Numerous tropical trees provide shade across the grounds, creating layered canopy coverage overhead.

The site began as a garden for Eduardo Guinle's mansion in the 1920s, which later served as Rio de Janeiro's state governor's official residence. It was later transformed into a public park with residential architecture added during urban development in the mid-20th century.

The three residential buildings within the grounds showcase postwar Brazilian modernist design with clean lines and open spaces that shape how visitors experience the park. These structures reflect how housing and nature coexisted in Rio's urban planning of that era.

The park sits near Largo do Machado metro station and offers children's play areas, exercise equipment, and pathways for walking or jogging. Visitors can find spaces throughout for outdoor activities and rest.

French landscaper Gerard Cochet designed the original gardens in the 1920s following European principles. Renowned Brazilian landscape architect Roberto Burle Marx later reworked the plantings when the residential complex was built.
