Macuco

Macuco is a municipality in Rio de Janeiro state located in southeastern Brazil, covering land that spans across hilly terrain. The administrative area borders the municipalities of Cantagalo and Cordeiro at an elevation of around 275 meters (900 feet) above sea level.

The settlement developed over time as a rural community in the region and became an established administrative municipality. Its growth followed the patterns typical of small communities in the mountainous interior of Rio de Janeiro state.
