Museu de História Natural e Jardim Botânico da Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais

The museum complex encompasses 600,000 square meters of Atlantic Forest vegetation, featuring both native and introduced plant species within its botanical gardens.

Founded in 1969, the institution has built a collection of 265,664 items spanning archaeology, paleontology, geology, botany, zoology, and historical cartography.

The museum maintains extensive research facilities and educational programs that connect university students with natural sciences through interactive exhibitions and workshops.

Located at Rua Gustavo da Silveira 1035, the museum opens Thursday through Saturday from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM with free admission for all visitors.

The facility includes a seed nursery, an ecological amphitheater, a sensory garden, and a lake that serves as a living laboratory for environmental studies.
