Itapetinga, Municipal center in Bahia, Brazil
Itapetinga is a municipality in Bahia state, roughly 560 kilometers southwest of Salvador. It serves as a regional hub with a mix of urban services and agricultural activity surrounding its core areas.
Itapetinga was founded in 1952 and grew from a small settlement into an important town in the region. Its development was closely tied to agricultural expansion that shaped the character of the place.
The São João festival brings the community together at the Multisport Park of Pond, where people gather for traditional celebrations.
