Description
Aracaju Oceanarium is a water facility in Sergipe state that houses five freshwater aquariums and eleven saltwater tanks. The displays feature fish from the São Francisco River and the local coastal area.
History
The facility began as part of the TAMAR Project, a national program protecting sea turtles along Brazilian coasts. The center later expanded its work to include care for other marine animals.
