Parque Dona Lindu, Public recreational park and cultural center in Boa Viagem, Brazil
Parque Dona Lindu is a public park and cultural center in Boa Viagem that blends green spaces with sports facilities and cultural venues. The space provides tennis courts, skating tracks, running paths, playgrounds, and exercise areas for different activities and interests.
The land once belonged to the Brazilian Air Force before transforming into a public space. Architect Oscar Niemeyer designed the overall layout in 2012.
The Luiz Mendonça Theater and Janete Costa Gallery function as gathering spots where exhibitions and performances bring the community together. These venues showcase contemporary art and support local artists throughout the year.
The park is open daily from 5:00 AM to 10:00 PM and offers free access to all facilities. The best times to visit are early morning or late afternoon when crowds are smaller and the weather is cooler.
The park is named after President Lula da Silva's mother, affectionately known as Dona Lindu. This naming choice reflects a personal connection between the leader and his community.
