Catolé do Rocha

Catolé do Rocha is a municipality in Paraíba located in northeastern Brazil at an elevation of about 300 meters. The town sits in the Sertão region, covering an area of approximately 551 square kilometers.

The municipality has deep roots in the colonial history of northern Brazil and developed as a settlement in the Sertão region. Political figure João Suassuna, who governed Paraíba from 1886 to 1930, originated from this area and shaped its trajectory.
