Maranguape extends across 590 square kilometers of land with an elevation of 68 meters above sea level in northeastern Brazil.
The municipality of Maranguape was officially established on November 17, 1851, marking the beginning of its administrative independence in Ceará state.
The Town Theater, Culture House, and Artistic Society form the central points for local performances and carnival celebrations in Maranguape.
Visitors can reach Maranguape through the CE-065 highway, which connects the municipality to Fortaleza at a distance of 25 kilometers.
The Cachaça Museum displays production equipment from 1846, including the first ceramic alembic introduced by Portuguese immigrant Dário Telles de Menezes.
