Museu da Cachaça, Cachaça Museum in Maranguape, Brazil

The Cachaça Museum occupies a 19th-century building that displays maps, photographs, and agricultural tools related to spirit production. Wooden barrels and production equipment fill the space, showing how the drink has been made over time.

The building began as the first production facility for the Ypioca brand, founded in 1846 by a Portuguese immigrant. Over time, it became a center of local spirit production and shaped the region's economy for generations.

Cachaça holds deep significance in local life and regional identity, with this space showing how the spirit connects to everyday traditions and commerce. The exhibitions reveal how production methods passed down through generations remain central to community pride.

The museum is located in Ceara state in the northeast and opens regularly for visitors. Inside, a 1930s-style bar allows you to taste products, and a shop sells regional spirits.

The museum houses one of the world's largest wooden barrels, handcrafted in the original building decades ago. This object gives visitors a tangible connection to the early days of production at the site.
