The Masdjid Mubarack mosque features Indo-Pakistani Islamic architecture with a 33-meter minaret and elaborate wooden craftsmanship from Tunisian artisans.
The mosque opened in 2002, replacing a 1953 structure that became insufficient for the growing Muslim population of Saint-Louis.
The prayer hall accommodates 2000 worshippers, incorporating a mihrab directing towards Mecca and a dedicated mezzanine level for female attendees.
The mosque schedules four daily prayer calls, excluding the dawn prayer to respect neighboring residents, and welcomes visitors through scheduled appointments.
The ablution area contains mosaic decorations depicting the Kaaba, while the interior combines modern elements with traditional Islamic design patterns.
