D'Arros Island, Coral sand cay in Amirante Islands, Seychelles.

D'Arros Island measures 1.71 square kilometers with a maximum elevation of 3 meters and contains native coconut palms across its oval shape.

European sailors discovered the island in 1770 and named it after Baron d'Arros, a Marine Commandant from Île de France at that time.

The permanent population of 42 residents maintains small-scale farming and fishing practices while living in a village with one main house.

Access to this remote location requires travel via an unpaved airstrip using services from Island Development Company or Zil Air from Mahé.

The Save Our Seas Foundation purchased the island for 60 million dollars in 2012 and established it as a nature reserve in 2014.
