Turbo Mountain, Steel roller coaster at Adventure World in Perth, Australia
Turbo Mountain was a steel roller coaster at Adventure World featuring approximately 420 meters of track with a chain lift system. The ride reached speeds of 57 kilometers per hour and rose 12 meters above the ground.
The ride was originally constructed as a Schwarzkopf Jet Star 2 at Luna Park Sydney before being moved to Perth in 1991. It operated at Adventure World until 2009 when it was dismantled.
The roller coaster served as a central attraction for families visiting Adventure World, accommodating 480 riders per hour in its three-row configuration.
Each train accommodated six passengers seated in three rows of two across. This configuration allowed parents to ride alongside their children comfortably.
The original spiral lift mechanism was replaced with a chain lift system when the coaster was relocated from Sydney to Perth in 1991. This modification changed how riders were transported to the top of the track.
